Network Security Consultant - 6 months Rolling

We're currently recruiting a Network Security Consultant for a leading IT Consultancy on an initial 6-Month contract.

Essential Requirements:

  • Offer operational support to our client through advanced technical analysis and implementation across network equipment from diverse vendors and technologies.
  • Engage in client projects requiring network support, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of various network components including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Possess adept troubleshooting skills to thoroughly investigate issues and devise effective solutions.
  • Manage high-priority situations and promptly rectify outages to minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, instructions, and procedures, keeping them current.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize existing tools and propose enhancements.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction by fostering close collaboration with colleagues.
  • Participate in a rotation system providing 24-hour assistance, typically on call for around 6 weeks annually.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Exhibit enthusiasm for IT, Networking & Security, coupled with strong teamwork and customer-centricity.
  • Demonstrate self-reliance and initiative in seeking optimal solutions independently.
  • Showcase analytical problem-solving skills as a core competency.
  • Possess a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably complemented by CCNP certification. Additional certifications such as PCNSE and CCNP Data Center ACI are advantageous. Equivalence based on relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Accumulate a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Switching, Routing, Firewalling, VPN, Load balancing, and Virtualization.
  • Familiarity and practical experience with networking equipment from various vendors, including Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco Data Center switching, are essential.

Remuneration and Logistics:

  • Day Rate: €450PD - €650PD
  • Location: Antwerp, Brussels
  • Contract-only Position: Yes
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Customer Site: Yes - Hybrid
