IT Manager - Hands On - Banking
Excellent opportunity for IT Manager who understands the day to day running of an Infrastructure/IT Department.
The IT Operations Manager role focuses on designing, documenting, implementing, and embedding robust operating processes, policies, and procedures within technology operations and cyber security.
The role is responsible for:
IT Operations:
- Development, implementation, and embedding of IT Operations best practise including:
- Technology Operating Framework: creating policies, processes, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensuring alignment with regulatory standards
- Developing a target operating model, including daily/weekly mandatory tasks; setting up robust change control processes including a CAB; assurance of DR and backup solutions.
- Design and implementation first line of assurance control testing.
- Alignment of service delivery to a recognised standard (ITIL).
- Coaching and assisting in the development of the IT team.
Cyber security
- Supporting the delivery of enhanced cyber security framework and services.
- Supporting alignment to NIST and gaining Cyber Essentials and CE+ accreditation.
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience of as an IT Operations Manager (or equivalent)
- Experience managing on-premise and cloud services and infrastructure, including network, Firewall, virtualised hosting architecture, and cloud services.
- Management of endpoint and cloud security services.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of Microsoft server, security, and end user applications.
- In depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and administration.
Desirable:
- Experience of configuring and managing Microsoft Azure
- Exposure to working within a regulated or Financial Services organisation.
- Line management and team leadership experience.
