Your new role
As a Data Engineer, you will support the ongoing development of a global data warehouse sourced from oracle 11i systems. Primarily, the objective is to seamlessly integrate this data warehouse with tableau for enhanced reporting and analytics capabilities, ensuring comprehensive business insights.

What you'll need to succeed

• Data warehouse development: support the design, development, and maintenance of a global data warehouse sourced from Oracle 11i systems, including hands-on involvement in implementation and support
• ETL Processes: define data warehouse schemas, structures, and efficient ETL processes for extraction/transformation/loading onto data warehouse. Proficient in working with Oracle 11i systems for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Ensure data integrity: implement measures to ensure integrity & consistency in all integrated sources within the data warehouse. Experience in setting up and configuring ODBC, Open Database Connectivity, for seamless data access and integration
• Collaboration & communication: work with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements & communicate progress effectively.
• Future integration with Oracle Cloud: prepare for future integration by planning and strategising the incorporation of oracle cloud data into the warehouse within teams in the US.
• Proficiency with Oracle SQL and MySQL for data querying, manipulation, and management within data warehouse environment

What you'll get in return
In return, you will get a competitive day rate inside IR35, in a hybrid role based in Runcorn. You will be expected on site 2 to 3 days per week.
