Senior UX Designer (contract) (Contract)

Senior UX Designer (contract) - Insurance, Design Systems, Remote

£550 per day (inside) | Mostly remote with 1 day per month in London | 3 months initial contract - April Start | Financial Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced UX Designer to join a small team leading UK design for a large multi-national insurance company using Figma, OutSystem, Azure DevOps, Miro and FigJam.

You'll be working on a wide range of projects over the next 6-12 months, from implementing a new design system, to internal support projects, to designing new externally facing platforms. So you'll need broad experience and a solid understand of the full end to end design process user research, UX principles and standards, testing, and UI.

This role would suit an experienced Senior UX Designer with experience of corporate environments (ideally global enterprises within insurance or financial services) and design advocacy who will be able to hit the ground running.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong UX background
  • Experience implementing Design Systems
  • Excellent knowledge of UX principles, standards and best practices
  • Strong Figma skills
  • Experience with user research and usability testing methodologies
  • Able to work on concurrent workstreams
  • Experience iterating on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and experience educating and collaborating with non-design teams and stakeholders about User Experience
  • Great stakeholder engagement experience
  • Good understanding of UI
  • Familiarity with corporate environments and business language, ideally from within the insurance or financial services sectors

This is a priority role with an ideal start date of the beginning of April.
