SAP Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with expertise in the Automotive industry to join a great team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to provide functional support and expertise in the SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module, with a focus on meeting the unique needs and requirements of our automotive clients. In addition to SD, knowledge of Finance (FICO) and Transport Management (TM) will be advantageous, particularly in the context of Transportation Management System (TMS) within SAP. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automotive business processes, coupled with strong technical proficiency in SAP modules to drive successful implementations and optimisations.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module, providing functional support, configuration, and customisation to meet the specific requirements of automotive clients.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse business processes, and translate user needs into SAP SD solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness in sales and distribution operations.

Configure and customise SAP SD module functionalities, including pricing, billing, order management, and delivery processing, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client requirements.

Provide guidance and support for integration points between SAP SD and other modules such as Finance (FICO) and Transport Management System (TMS), facilitating end-to-end business processes.

Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of SAP SD solutions, including system enhancements, upgrades, and new implementations, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.

Conduct user training and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure effective adoption and utilization of SAP SD functionalities by business users.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to deliver comprehensive SAP solutions that meet business objectives.

Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the automotive sector and SAP ecosystem, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for SAP SD-related issues, working closely with technical teams and SAP support resources to resolve incidents and optimise system performance.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of SAP documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and process maps, to support knowledge management and future enhancements.

Requirements:

1 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

2 Experience as an SAP Functional Consultant, with a focus on the Sales and Distribution (SD) module within the automotive industry.

3 Strong understanding of automotive business processes, including order-to-cash, pricing, and logistics, and the ability to align SAP SD solutions with industry requirements.

4 Proficiency in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules.

5 Experience with SAP Finance (FICO) module functionalities, particularly in the context of automotive finance processes, will be advantageous.

6 Knowledge of Transportation Management System (TMS) within SAP, including integration with SAP SD and logistics functionalities, is highly desirable.

7 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers.

8 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in SAP solutions.

9 SAP certification in relevant modules (SD, FICO) is a plus.
