QA Tester (GCP) (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £450 - 485 per day
 
QA Tester (GCP), required to work with a large Telco organisation. This is a 6 month contract, paying £485 per day, inside IR35, hybrid working (1-2 days onsite as required in London)

Summary:
As a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) QA Tester, you will work within a predominantly Agile/Scrum environment to contribute to the delivery of high-quality systems and products. Working as part of the wider team, you will analyse, plan and co-ordinate testing activities, using a range of techniques to meet deliverables.

With an emphasis on high quality, the purpose of the role is to design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions. As an experienced GCP Tester, you will apply appropriate automation technologies to meet short, medium, and long-term business objectives, whilst being an advocate for driving automated testing efforts across the team.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
  • Proficiently delineating the testing scope and its phases, tailored to each new feature or release within the Agile methodology.
  • Conducting rigorous functional and automation testing across both native/hybris app and API layers, ensuring thorough validation of software components.
  • Diligently tracking and adapting to new or modified requirements with each release, ensuring alignment with evolving project needs.
  • Skilfully designing and crafting test automation scripts, adhering to established automation guidelines to bolster testing efficiency.
  • Demonstrating competence in various programming languages and frameworks, including JavaScript, Cypress, Webdriver.io, Appium, Percy, firebase and Postman.
  • Possesses a solid foundation in both functional and automation testing, encompassing UI and API aspects, as well as Middleware systems.
  • Conduct thorough cross-browser testing utilizing platforms such as BrowserStack and ensure compatibility.
  • Effectively utilizing test management tools like Jira, XRAY, and Confluence for defect tracking, test planning, documentation, and adherence to Agile processes.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in integrating automation tests with continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like GitLab, and Jenkins.
  • Recognizing security risks associated with software engineering patterns and implementing precautions accordingly.
  • Skilfully executing feature testing in both production and non-production environments, employing a blend of manual and automation techniques.
  • Showcasing expertise in Non-Functional Testing (NFT), including Load and Performance testing, utilizing tools such as Postman, JMeter, and BlazeMeter.

Essential skills:
  • Experience using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience as a Digital QA in cross functional team.
  • Have a proven track record of creating ideas in a similar organisation.
  • Be able to understand user feedback and analytics to make informed decisions.
  • A good understanding of product life cycles and agile methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication (verbal and written) to the right audiences.
  • Be proficient and effective in working with Jira and Confluence.
