Infrastructure Delivery Manager - West London - (remote 4 days a week) - £85K + Bonus + Benefits

My client is looking for an Infrastructure Delivery Manager who can deliver projects from the internal IT roadmap (hardware migrations, platform updates, architectural component upgrades etc). Business Accountability:

• Leading the end-to-end delivery of business-critical projects throughout all project life cycle phases
• Project resource and milestone planning, team coordination, budget management, meeting scheduling, progress monitoring, status reporting and associated customer/stakeholder comms
• Managing, coaching, motivating, and leading dedicated temporary teams formed from the necessary IT team members required to deliver IT roadmap projects.
• Subject Matter Expert in Agile principles and associated frameworks (especially Scrum).

Principal Tasks:

• Take ownership of the IT Roadmap with the principal responsibility of delivering the projects therein.
• Projects will be typically Infrastructure focused with examples including the upgrade of business-critical applications to modern software versions, Azure cloud migrations and new environment provisioning.
• Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
• Promote and assist with team development whilst holding teams accountable for their commitments; removing impediments; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; mentoring and supporting team members.
• Engage with and support the Head of IT Applications in managing expectations for project deliverables, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance.
• Continually refine and define the project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile delivery.

Knowledge/Experience

• Solid understanding of SDLC models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to identify and apply the appropriate blend for any given project.
• A history (5+ years minimum experience) of successfully delivering software or web development projects as an Infrastructure Project Manager using a range of frameworks/methodologies.
• Extensive experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects. (PSM, CSM or equivalent preferred)
• Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams of at least 6 members.
• Balanced business/technical background:
• Sufficient level of technical experience to provide credible leadership to development teams and accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
• Proven experience of forming strong working relationships and effectively collaborating with relevant parties to achieve solutions of high business value.
• Strong understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools:
• Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent
• Microsoft office
