Test Engineer (L3 Support) (Permanent)

Location: Leeds Country: UK
 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 3 (L3) support 24/7 (including out of hour on-call support) for technical issues within the IT infrastructure.
  • Define and Execute the test plan ensuring that the delivery of that testing is in alignment with the applicable standards and policies.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that software applications function properly after changes have been made
  • Create, update and maintain automation scripts using automated test tools such as Unified Functional Testing, AXE by Odin and Selenium
  • Test and Defect Management tool using Team Foundation Server (TFS)/MS Test Manager.
  • Performance testing to evaluate the speed, scalability, and stability of software applications using performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Create test cases/test scripts based on software requirements and specifications
  • Execute test cases/test scripts and record the results
  • Identify and report software defects and track them through to resolution
  • Collaborate with development/product team members to understand software changes and their impact on testing
  • Communicate testing progress, issues, and risks to project stakeholders
  • Maintain a high level of quality and accuracy in all work tasks
  • Perform Incident management in terms of:
    • Major/Minor Incidents
    • Root Causes
    • Resolutions
    • Improvement actions/Problems management
    • Knowledge management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in functional and automation testing
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • ITIL certification will be highly desirable.
