Senior Java Developer - Java, Scala, Fixed Income, Low Latency, HTML, React, BDD, TDD

I am currently seeking an experienced Java developer to join my client who is a leading investment bank based in Canary Wharf, London. You will be joining a high-performing team to help deliver a new pricing/hedging functionality across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise in developing and deploying high-performance Algo systems on the JVM for production environments.
  • Responsibilities encompass a spectrum of front-to-back architecture, design, and development tasks. A critical aspect is the ability to challenge conventional approaches and explore avenues for enhanced efficiency.
  • Collaborating with the business to automate trading processes and enhance existing Trading and Market Intelligence strategies for both Dealer-to-Dealer and Dealer-to-Client markets.
  • Constructing an automated trading platform using React and HTML5 technologies.
  • Strengthening testing and backtesting capabilities to minimize defects and boost productivity in developing new strategies.
  • Integrating with the existing Fixed Income electronic trading platform.

This is a contract role paying up to £1200 per day PAYE with lots of flexibility for hybrid working.
