The main purpose of this role is to support the Digital Content Manager to plan, create and co-ordinate best in class digital content that maximises sales, conversion and digital participation.

Create content that supports the category strategies, the quarterly promotion plan and the content strategy. Ensuring the content is engaging, informative, inspiring and helpful to support customers on their browse/search/buy journey. Manage projects from inception to completion. Use analytics and assess the effectiveness of content and make data-driven decisions.

The role

Work with the Digital Content Manager to develop & deliver content that supports the business commercial priorities
Use a variety of content types to create an engaging and inspiring experience across your categories and guides customers to research and buy the right products from any of our digital channels
Act as content lead for category, events and promotional projects ensuring all content requirements are developed and delivered on time
Continually analyse the effectiveness of your content using web analytics, and make recommendations to improve content based on data
Work closely with the merchandising team and promotions team to execute promotions in line with the marketing calendar, ensuring the customer experience is optimal and messaging is on brand
Support digital marketing teams where necessary to provide best practice recommendations on copywriting
Maintain content standards, including governance and maintenance of content
Build relationships with the digital operations team, the promotions team, the trading teams, the product information teams and the video & photography teams

Skills and experience

Excellent copy writing skills
A solid understanding how to use natural search in copy and metadata
A passion for digital
High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisation and planning skills
Good analytical skills
Good interpersonal skills which is key when managing projects that require input from other teams who may have other priorities
Good understanding of retail websites and the importance of the customer
