Network Security Engineer | Long Term Project| Financial Enterprise

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is currently looking for an experienced Network Security Engineer to join their team.

The main purpose of the role is to implement a new Firewall rule management solution, as the current set up is not efficient enough for the size of the environment. The company's network environment bridges 7 locations, who have a difference of around 16 hours among them. Hence, you will be working together with their data centre partner to integrate the security perimeter into the overall process.

Your responsibilities:

• Deploy Firewall rule monitoring solution across the global Firewall infrastructure.
• Devise and implement a system to examine the Firewall ruleset effectively.
• Create a solution to assess the ruleset based on multiple criteria such as source addresses, destination addresses, and last usage date.
• Establish procedures for generating reports on outdated rules, destination-based rules, and source-based rules.
• Develop and update documentation for the developed solution and associated processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Network Security Engineer
• Experienced with CISCO network equipment and protocols
• Experience coding in Python
• Experience working in a large scale environment
